Kajian Kelembagaan Pengusahaan Pengolahan Minyak Eucalyptus Berbasis Masyarakat dari Daun Limbah Penebangan di PT Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk

Abstract

Utilizing waste leaves from the Eucalyptus pellita plant is an effort to turn these leaves into a product with high economic value, namely essential oil. Community empowerment is very necessary in this business and it is hoped that it can provide employment opportunities and improve the family's economic level. This research aims to determine workforce needs and appropriate institutional models as well as determine business feasibility through business cost analysis to assess the extent of benefits obtained in carrying out an activity or business. This research uses qualitative methods with interview, observation and documentation data collection techniques. And quantitative methods to determine labor needs and business feasibility. Assessment of financial feasibility uses measures namely: NPV, IRR, BCR and Payback Period. The analysis was carried out over a 10 year period with an interest rate of 18%. The research results show that the business is worth running with an NPV value of Rp. 76,738,025.00, IRR 35.64%, BCR 1.67 and Payback Period of 3 years 2 months 16 days. The appropriate institutional model is a simple group model with a workforce capacity of 2 – 3 people.
