    Abstract
Work accident is an event that has potential or actually causes unexpected losses. Direct causes of work accidents are unsafe actions and unsafe conditions. Unsafe actions can be influenced by personal factors and work factors. This research aims to determine personal factors related to unsafe actions on processing workers at Pagar Merbau Palm Oil Mill in 2024. Type of research is quantitative research with cross sectional approach. The population is processing workers totaling 60 workers. The sample is total population of all processing workers totaling 60 workers. Data were collected by interview using a questionnaire and analyzed using chi-square test. The results showed that 36 workers (60,0%) commited unsafe actions and stations with the highest frequency of workers commiting unsafe actions are palm fruit receiving station (sorting activity), loading ramp station, and boiling station. Regarding personal factors, 35 workers (58,3%) did not understand unsafe actions and stations with the highest frequency of workers did not understand unsafe actions are palm fruit receiving station (sorting activity), loading ramp station, and boiling station. A total of 33 workers (55,0%) had improper motivation and stations with the highest frequency of workers having improper motivation are palm fruit receiving station (sorting activity), tresher station and boiler station. The results of statistical tests showed that there is a relationship between knowledge (p value = 0.016) and motivation (p value = 0.013) with unsafe actions. It is recommended that companies carry out training based on learning games and simulations, provide refreshers regarding unsafe actions through safety talks every morning, create a monitoring agenda, and workers are required to understand and apply work instructions and safety guidelines provided by the company
