    Abstract
    Washing clothes is one of the important processes in daily life. Although automatic washing machines have provided convenience in carrying out the washing process, the use of the latest technology such as fuzzy logic control can improve the performance of smart washing machines to achieve optimal washing results. Implementation of a fuzzy logic control system with Mamdani and Sugeno methods to improve washing efficiency and performance in smart washing machines. The purpose of this research is to develop and analyze the performance of the two methods in optimizing the use of washing time. The research methodology includes literature study, design of fuzzy logic control system, implementation on simulator, data collection, performance analysis, and impact evaluation. The results showed that both methods were able to improve washing efficiency, with the Sugeno method showing superior performance in terms of time utilization efficiency. The implementation of the fuzzy logic control system also improved washing quality and user satisfaction. This research provides important implications that fuzzy logic control systems with Mamdani and Sugeno methods can be an effective solution to improve the efficiency and performance of smart washing machines. Its application can contribute to time savings, and open up opportunities for the development of more advanced intelligent control systems in the future.
