Pengaruh Penggunaan Bokashi Limbah Sayuran Terhadap Produktivitas Rumput Odot (Pennisetum Purpureum Cv. Mott)
The Effect of Using Vegetable Waste Bokashi on the Productivity of Odot Grass (Pennisetum Purpureum Cv. Mott)
Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of using bokashi from market vegetable waste on the productivity of odot grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott). The research was carried out in the experimental field of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Treatments consisted of P0 (No Bokashi (Control)), P1 (Vegetable Waste Bokashi 200 g/polybag), P2 (Vegetable Waste Bokashi 400 g/polybag), P3 (Vegetable Waste Bokashi 600 g/polybag), and P4 (Waste Bokashi Vegetables 800 g/polybag). The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, fresh production, and dry matter production.
The results showed that the treatment showed a significant effect (P<0.05) on plant height and a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the number of tillers and (P<0.01) on leaf length, but showed a significant effect. not significant (P<0.05) for fresh weight and (P<0.05) for dry weight. The conclusion of this research is that the use of vegetable waste bokashi on odot grass productivity, the higher the concentration of vegetable waste bokashi on odot grass, the greater the growth of odot grass. Where P4 treatment is the best treatment with a concentration of (800 g/polybag.
