Eksplorasi Keanekaragaman Tumbuhan Epifit di KHDTK Institut Teknologi Del Desa Aek Nauli Kecamatan Pollung Kabupaten Humbang Hasundutan

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that has a fairly high biodiversity, one of which is epiphytic plant species. The most common types of epiphytic plants are ferns (epiphytic pteridophytes) and orchids (epiphytic orchidaceae). This study was conducted to identify the diversity of epiphytic plants and their growing places (hosts) found in KHDTK Institute of Technology DEL Aek Nauli Village, Pollung District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This research was conducted at KHDTK Institute of Technology DEL Aek Nauli Village, Pollung District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This study used the square method by making plots measuring 25 m x 40 m at every height difference of 50 meters above sea level and the determination of sample plots was carried out by purposive sampling by taking into account the criteria needed. The results showed that the level of diversity of epiphytic plants at the study site was moderate with a diversity index of 2.778. Epiphytic plants were found as many as 21 species with host trees obtained as many as 14 types. Further research needs to be done on the diversity of epiphytic plants in KHDT IT Del so that the types of epiphytic plants in KHDTK IT Del can be identified as a whole well and obtain information in the form of data.
