Final semester students often face significant obstacles and challenges due to academic demands, particularly those related to the thesis writing process. The conflicts encountered can lead to negative emotions, impacting the psychological well-being of final semester students. Psychological well- being can be achieved if students possess good self-compassion. This study aims to determine the level of self-compassion and psychological well-being among final semester students who are in the process of writing their thesis. The research questionnaire includes respondent characteristic questionnaires, self-compassion questionnaires, and psychological well- being questionnaires. The sampling technique used is total sampling, with a sample size of 90 final semester students writing their thesis in the Faculty of Nursing at Universitas Sumatera Utara. Data collection methods utilize the Self-Compassion Scale and the Psychological Well-Being Scale. Data are presented in the form of frequency distribution and percentage tables. The results indicate that 44 respondents (44.8%) have a moderate level of self- compassion and 75 respondents (83.3%) have a high level of psychological well-being. Educational institutions are expected to provide time for students to enhance their self-compassion and achieve psychological well-being. This is necessary for students to adapt and manage problems effectively during the completion of their final assignments.en_US
