Abstract

This research was motivated by the Pematang Siantar City DPRD impeaching its mayor. Susanti Dewayani. Impeachment took place on March 20 2023 at a plenary session. So the aim of this research is to discuss budget allocations related to impeachment in the city of Pematang Siantar in 2023 with the determined APBD, using Budget Politics theory as the theoretical analysis. This research uses the method. This research uses a descriptive research method, namely by using an in-depth interview method and literature study to discuss the budget allocation related to the impeachment in the city of Pematang Siantar in 2023 with the determined APBD. The results of this research found that members of the special committee prioritized personal funds first for these activities and then to cover the costs of the activities they took them from the budgeted cost items for ceiling activities at the DPRD Secretariat. Then the priority costs will be paid in the 2023 P-APBD with mutually agreed agreements and conditions. The description of activities and the amount of costs intended for activities at the DPRD Secretariat are also allegedly used at special committee meetings or activities that facilitate vi mobilization and administration matters related to the impeachment of the Mayor of Pematang Siantar.
