A Healthy District/City is a district/city condition that is clean, comfortable, safe and healthy for residents to live in, which is achieved through the implementation of several integrated arrangements and activities agreed upon by the community and local government. Medan City cannot be said to be a Healthy City because there are still several conditions that have not been fulfilled as a Healthy City. Therefore, the cooperation of each OPD is needed to realize the Healthy City Program, one of which is the food security, Agriculture and Fisheries Service. This study aims to describe the role and strategy of the Food Security Office in realizing the Healthy City Program in the area of food security and nutrition in Medan City. This research method uses a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach where the research departs from the phenomena found in the field and then develops in depth. The results showed that the food security, Agriculture and Fisheries Service did not fully have a strategy in realizing the Healthy City program in the food security and nutrition area, there were still several indicators that had not been carried out such as, the community had not provided food barns, and farmers were not free from pesticide poisoning and there were indicators that had not been fully implemented such as, the malfunctioning of nutrition consultation institutions, and the absence of strategies for planting patterns. The Food Security, Agriculture, and Fisheries Office of Medan City is expected to create strategies for indicators that have not been implemented so that Medan City can soon be dubbed as a healthy city. Then for strategies that have not been fully implemented, it is expected that the Food Security, Agriculture, and Fisheries Office of Medan City can increase the number of indicators that have not been fully implementeden_US
