dc.description.abstractMathching impedance is an effort to adjust the antenna impedance value to the characteristic impedance of the channel. There are various mathching impedance techniques that can be used, including the λ/4 transformer and the use of stubs. In this paper, we discuss the design of an impedance adjuster using the λ/4 transformer method and the single stub method to improve the VSWR value and return loss in a microstrip antenna system. The design was carried out using a theoretical approach and using the Smith Chart Tool application. Based on the results of the λ/4 transformer design, the VSWR value was improved to 1.04 and the return loss became -35.04 dB. The results of the single stub design obtained an improvement in the VSWR value to 1.18 and the return loss value to -21.69 dB. Optimizing these two methods using the Smith Chart Tool application, an increase of 70% was obtained where VSWR became 1.en_US
