Industrial fires are one of the serious challenges in the manufacturing sector in Indonesia. PT Eastern Sumatra Indonesia is a company engaged in the oil palm plantation and processing sector. Efforts that can be applied to anticipate the occurrence of fire hazards are through the implementation of a fire emergency response system. The purpose of the study, namely to determine the description of the implementation of the fire emergency response system at the PT Eastern Sumatra Indonesia palm oil mill. This research is a descriptive study using an observational approach and was conducted in February-April 2024 with the objects studied were fire protection systems (fire alarms, extinguishing water systems, fire extinguishers, fire extinguishers), life-saving facilities (emergency exits, means of escape, exit directions, gathering points), and fire management (organization, procedures, and emergency response training) at the PT Eastern Sumatra Indonesia palm oil mill. The current condition of each of these components is compared with several applicable standards with the percentage of conformity of the application of fire protection systems (74.2%), means of life saving (79.25%), fire management (88.6%). It is recommended to the company management to provide special intervention on fire alarm elements and exit directions, fire extinguishers, and means of escape, increasing safety awareness of fire hazards through training and socialization
