One aspect of having a competitive advantage in higher education is well-qualified human resources. The human resources in question consist of professional leaders, lecturers who fulfill and have excellent qualifications and competencies, high-performing lecturers, and quality students. Universities depend on human resources, especially lecturers, in their efforts to brighten the nation's life and achieve educational goals.
This study aims to determine the effect of motivation on lecturer performance, job satisfaction on lecturer performance, and to determine the effect of motivation and job satisfaction altogether on lecturer performance at STOK Bina Guna Medan.
The research method used in this research is associative research with a quantitative approach using survey methods, where the author distributes questionnaires for data collection. The population in this study were lecturers at STOK Bina Guna, the sampel in this study used the nonprobability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. The sampel who became respondents in this study was 31permanent lecturers of STOK Bina Guna. Data analysis methods used are instrument tests, classical assumption test, multiple linear analysis, and hypothetic tests.
Based on the research results, it was found that motivation did not significantly influence the performance of lecturers at STOK Bina Guna. Job satisfaction influences the performance of lecturers at STOK Bina Guna. Work motivation and job satisfaction simultaneously influence the performance of lecturers at STOK Bina Guna.
