    Abstract
This study provides deeper insights into the strengths and weaknesses of each MCDM method in the context of ranking provinces in Indonesia based on quality of life. The indicators include health, material well-being, community belonging, employment and productive activities, and environmental quality. The ORESTE (Organisation, Rangement Et Synthèse De Données Relationnelles) and ELECTRE (Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la REalité) methods were used to analyze the quality of life rankings of Indonesian provinces based on data from 2022. The ORESTE method uses the outranking principle, where it ranks alternatives and criteria using preference and indifference relations. This method allows for flexible assessment of complex and multidimensional criteria. Meanwhile, the ELECTRE method also uses the outranking principle to evaluate and rank alternatives, considering concordance and discordance sets. This method is effective in handling situations with conflicting criteria, providing adaptive solutions for quality of life assessment. The research results show that DKI Jakarta province ranks first in quality of life according to the ORESTE method, while North Sulawesi province ranks first according to the ELECTRE method. Rank correlation analysis using the Spearman correlation coefficient between the two methods shows a correlation result of 0,845 with a p-value of 0,000, indicating that both methods tend to produce similar rankings
