Simplification of Political Parties in The Indonesian State
Abstract
Simplification of political parties can be said to be a limitation of the number of political parties. Some of the ways the government has implemented to simplify political parties since Indonesia was established until today include the issuance of a law on political parties in which there are several forms of simplification of political parties. Regulations regarding the simplification of political parties have been issued since the early independence period, the New Order period to the post-reformation period The forms of simplification of political parties carried out in Indonesia also vary from the requirements for establishing political parties, merging and dissolving political parties and monitoring and sanctioning political parties. Furthermore, there is another form of simplifying political parties which is called the parliamentary threshold. This form is used through general elections and is the most effective form of simplifying political parties at the moment The formulation of the problem proposed in writing this thesis is: How are the regulations regarding the simplification of political parties in the Law regarding political parties in the Indonesian constitutional system, How can general elections be an effort to implement the simplification of political parties in Indonesia and finally What is the urgency of implementing the simplification? political parties by the Indonesian government. This research is normative in nature with several approaches such as legislation and historical approaches The results of the research show that all political party simplification regulations that have been issued and implemented by the Indonesian government are practically effective in maintaining the stability of the running of a government. This is not only experienced by governments that simplify political parties in certain forms but all forms of political party simplification are efficiently used. to maintain political stability. However, even so, this does not mean that there are no problems because the implementation of political party simplification also often eliminates the rights of political parties in Indonesia.
