dc.description.abstractWaste is a serious problem in the environment. Poor waste processing can cause detrimental environmental problems. This research aims to develop a tool that functions as a smart trash can which has the ability to provide notifications based on trash height, gas concentration and flame using ultrasonic sensors, MQ-135 gas sensors and IoT integrated flame sensors. The main aim of this research is to monitor the height of the trash, the concentration of ammonia gas and the flame in the smart trash can by sending notifications via Blynk. The results of this research show that the tool works well. The calibration results show an error of 2.43% with an accuracy of 97.58%. Exposure to high levels of ammonia gas can cause lung damage and even death. Ammonia gas is still classified as a toxic gas if inhaled for a long period of time. The blynk application is used to monitor ammonia gas concentration, trash height and flames from smart trash cans. In the test, if the tool detects the remaining height of the waste is less than 15 cm, the concentration of ammonia gas reaches 25 ppm and there is a flame, you will get a blynk notification.en_US
