dc.description.abstract | The high amount of waste generation is one of the environmental problems in Indonesia. Waste management based on the 3Rs (Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle) is one of the crucial efforts to reduce the negative environmental impact of waste generation. This study aims to determine the relationship of the characteristics, knowledge, and attitudes of housewives with 3R-based waste management at Titi Rantai Village in 2024. This research is a type of quantitative study using a cross-sectional approach with accidental sampling technique, with a sample size of 88 people. Data collection was obtained directly by the researchers through research questionnaires. Data analysis showed that there is no significant relationship between age and 3R-based waste management with a p-value of 0,113, there is a relationship between education and 3R-based waste management with a p-value of 0,005, there is a relationship between income and 3R-based waste management with a p-value of 0,007, there is no significant relationship between knowledge and 3R-based waste management with a p-value of 0,073, and there is no significant relationship between attitude and 3R-based waste management with a p-value of 0.664. It is recommended for housewives in Titi Rantai Subdistrict to implement 3R-based waste management activities, as suggested in this study. This will help reduce the amount of waste generated, maintain a clean and healthy home environment, and raise individual awareness about the importance of waste management. For the government and related agencies, such as the village administration and health centers, it is recommended to pay attention to environmental health, especially concerning waste. They should conduct outreach programs related to 3R-based waste management and enhance health promotion efforts regarding diseases caused by waste | en_US |
