Thermal Storage Performance Analysis using silica sand media Volume 0.1 m3 for Heat Sources in Providing Hot Water for Household Needs is intended to determine the heat loss that is lost during storage. The choice of insulating material used was glasswool with the storage time and heat storage medium used was silica sand. In influencing heat loss, the research began by determining the tank material and its insulation, as well as determining the heat storage time in the tank. The analysis begins with calculating the total thermal resistance and then used to calculate heat loss. Based on this research, the heat loss with a heating power of 4000 Wh is 33 W and testing with a heating power of 6000 Wh is 37 W with a total thermal resistance of 24,293 ℃/W, will carry out validation by comparing experimental results with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation results.en_US
