Burn injuries cause skin integrity damage or tissue loss, which can serve as an entry point for pathogens. These injuries are caused by dry heat (fire), wet heat (hot liquids), chemicals, or electrical currents. In Indonesia, burn injuries account for 9.2% of all injury cases. One of the primary reasons for the increase in burn injury incidents is infection resulting from improper handling. Therefore, proper first aid for burns is crucial to mitigate damage. This study aims to assess the community's knowledge about first aid for burns in Kelurahan Aur Lingkungan IV, Medan Maimun District. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method. The sample consists of 84 residents of Kelurahan Aur, selected using non-probability sampling and accidental sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire comprising 15 questions. The study results indicate that 29.8% of the community members have good knowledge, 58.3% have moderate knowledge, and 11.9% have poor knowledge about first aid for burns. Enhancing community knowledge about first aid for burns is imperative. Participating in first aid training can significantly improve the community's knowledge.
