| dc.description.abstract | PHBS (Clean and Healthy Life Behavior) is a series of behaviors practiced by individuals and communities, based on their own awareness to maintain and improve their health. The objective of this research is to find out the description of the PHBS of households in Bahapal Raya Village, Simalungun Regency. The research uses a descriptive quantitative method. The population consists of 143 families, and 59 of them are used as samples, taken using an occidental sampling technique. The results of the research show that 55 respondents (93%) are in the good category in their knowledge of PHBS, four respondents (7%) are in the moderate category. All respondents (100%) have a positive attitude toward PHBS but in the real situation only 19 of them (32%) are in the good category, 31 of them (53%) are in the moderate category, and 9 of them (15%) are in the bad category Even though the majority of the respondents have good knowledge and a positive attitude toward hygiene and health, it is necessary to improve hygiene and health in households, especially those in moderate and bad categories. It is recommended that every individual, family, and community maintain and increase their knowledge and attitude toward PHBS. It is also suggested that educational programs and health interventions be improved to increase people's awareness and practice of PHBS in Bahapal Raya Village. | en_US |
