Designing Student Buildings with a Tropical Architectural Approach Student buildings are vital centers in campus life, functioning as spaces for interaction, selfdevelopment and information centers. This research aims to design a student building that combines functional requirements with a tropical architectural approach. This approach involves the use of natural resources and the integration of tropical architectural elements to create a comfortable and sustainable environment. The design includes the use of local materials such as wood and bamboo, with special attention to sustainability and local identity. Tropical architecture is applied in an open space arrangement, maximizing natural ventilation and sunlight. In addition, the use of terraced roofs and other tropical architectural elements are integrated to create a cool and comfortable environment under the tropical climate. The importance of adaptation to tropical weather, involves effective drainage systems, optimal natural lighting, and the use of weather-resistant materials. The tropical landscape is introduced through parks and local vegetation, providing an aesthetic impression and making a positive contribution to student well-being. The result of this design is a student building that not only meets its functional needs, but also creates an environment that is environmentally friendly, comfortable, and accommodates student needs under an attractive tropical architectural context. The overall design is expected to make a positive contribution to the quality of life and student experience in a tropical campus environment.
