| dc.description.abstract | The student affairs building at a university can be said to be important, because students on
campus not only study to gain knowledge, but also have to prepare themselves to enter the
world of work. Student Activity Unit (UKM) or what is often known by students as a forum for
a campus activity community where students can share their hobbies, ideas, aspirations and
energy which can later be turned into something positive and useful. To accommodate the
planning for the University of North Sumatra Student Affairs Building, the Planning Consultant
will carry out work as stated in the RKA of the Asset and Business Management Bureau for an
activity, in the form of drawings and work descriptions which will later be used as basic
guidelines in the context of planning the development of physical facilities and infrastructure
for the building according to future predictions. The theme used in the design of the University
of North Sumatra Student Affairs Building, namely Green Architecture, is a way of approaching
buildings that can minimize various harmful effects on human health and consume less natural
resources, including air energy and materials, and minimize negative impacts on the
