Strategi Mewujudkan Program Kota Sehat pada Kawasan Masyarakat Sehat yang Mandiri di Dinas Sosial Kota Medan Tahun 2024

Abstract

A healthy city is a clean, comfortable, safe and healthy condition for residents to live in, which is achieved through the implementation of several integrated arrangements and activities agreed upon by the community and local government. Various health problems that occur in urban areas generally arise from population aspects related to slum environments, poverty, and poor sanitation that can be seen from the limited area in urban areas. Medan City has not been able to participate in the Swasti Saba award because it has not fulfilled the prerequisites as a Healthy City. One of the prerequisites for participating in the healthy city award must be 80% ODF, or the equivalent of 122 urban villages in Medan city must be ODF. In realizing Medan as a healthy city, the cooperation of each OPD is needed, one of which is the Social Service of Medan City which is related to an independent healthy community area. The research method was carried out with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was done with in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used a descriptive qualitative approach in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the Social Service Office did not fully have a strategy in realizing the Healthy City program in the independent healthy community area. The Medan City Social Service is expected to create a strategy for each indicator so that Medan City can participate in the award as a healthy city. In addition, for strategies that have not been fully implemented, it is expected that the Social Affairs Office can improve
