Hubungan Karakteristik Individu dan Kebisingan dengan Stres Kerja pada Pekerja Unit Operasi dan Teknik PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi Bandara Kualanamu

Abstract

Work stress is a factor that can put pressure on productivity and the work environment and can disrupt individuals. Work stress that is not addressed immediately, can harm the physical and mental health of workers and can lead to decreased performance. The total number of cases of stress, depression, and anxiety during 2017-2018 was 595,000 cases with a prevalence of 1,800 people/100,000 workers. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between individual characteristics and noise with work stress in workers of the operations and engineering unit of PT Angkasa Pura Aviation Kualanamu Airport. Sampling was done using a total sampling technique with a total of 69 workers. Data collection was taken using the DASS 42 questionnaire to assess the level of work stress and the Sound Level Meter to measure the noise level which was then analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed no relationship between age, gender, and length of service with the incidence of work stress (p-value >0.05) and there was a relationship between length of service and noise with work stress (p-value <0.05). Based on this, workers should always use ear protection equipment provided by the company when doing work in places exposed to noise
