dc.description.abstractThe distribution network is the main network that is directly connected to consumers. A distribution network is said to be reliable if the network can serve consumers continuously and is expected to provide adequate quality electricity supply. Inadequate quality of electricity supply can cause significant economic and social losses. There are still several areas in Indonesia that experience problems in electricity supply, such as frequent power outages, disruption to the electricity network, and poor electricity quality. Reliability factors need to be considered in operating the distribution network system. In this final project, the author added a Recloser and Sectionalizer to Increase Reliability Using the Section Technique-RIA Method which is very relevant to help improve the quality of the electricity supply and the reliability of the electrical system. This research can provide solutions and recommendations by adding appropriate reclosers and sectionalizers to increase the electrical reliability of SAIDI, SAIFI and CAIDI values. From this research we can see the effect of reclosers in increasing network reliability on the 20 kV Rengat City distribution network, namely on the Reims Feeder and the Nantes Feeder. Results: After adding a recloser and sectionalizer to the Reims feeder using the Section Technique-RIA method, the SAIFI value was 1,508 times/year, SAIDI 19,144 hours/year and CAIDI 16.49 hours/year. Using ETAP software produces a SAIFI value of 1,581 times/year, SAIDI 18,422 hours/year, and CAIDI 11,652 hours/year. Results: After adding a recloser and sectionalizer to the Nantes feeder using the Section Technique-RIA method, the SAIFI value was 0.331 times/year, SAIDI 6.814 hours/year and CAIDI 16.333 hours/year. Using ETAP software produces a SAIFI value of 0.684 times/year, SAIDI 13,489 hours/year, and CAIDI 19,715 hours/year.en_US
