dc.description.abstract | PT. Dirgantara Indonesia is a company operating in the aircraft industry. One of the products produced at PT. Dirgantara Indonesia is the D-Nose Panel A350, which functions to distribute the aerodynamic load received by the wings during flight. Research at the company PT. Dirgantara Indonesia found a high number of defects in D-Nose Panel A350 products, with an average percentage of defects of 4,96% with the types of defects that often happens is corrotion, stretch and contour incorrection during 12 production periods, while the company's defect percentage limit was 1%. Because the D-Nose Panel A350 defect percentage limit was exceeded, it was necessary to make improvements to the production process. The aim of this research is to identify the source of quality problems and analyze product quality control to reduce product defects using a six-sigma approach, with the expected output being to minimize the number of defects in the production of D-Nose Panel A350. There were four basic causes of defects: machine, material, method, and human factors. The most important factors obtained through the define stage are human method factors and work methods during the production of the D-Nose Panel A350 which can not be said to be standard. Solutions resulting from this research can be achieved by improving the factors that cause defects themselves that are people, materials, machines, and methods. Improvements in human factors that can be made are by increasing the operator's abilities and skills and implementing the shift system better. Improvements in material factors include selecting raw material suppliers carefully and selecting materials carefully according to standards. Improvements in engine factors include replacing new engines and carrying out scheduled inspections. Improvements in the method factor are achieved by improving the method in accordance with the SOP. | en_US |
