dc.description.abstract | Hypertension is a major and most common health issue globally. It is classified as a Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) and can lead to complications such as stroke and heart disease. This study aims to understand the behavior of hypertension patients in Paya Bakung Village, Dusun X, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency. This is a quantitative study using a descriptive research design, with a total of 48 respondents participating. The research instruments included a demographic data questionnaire, and questionnaires on knowledge, attitudes, and actions, analyzed using univariate analysis. The results showed that the majority of respondents were aged 45-56 years, totaling 22 people (45.8%), with most being female, totaling 29 people (60.4%), and 29 people (60.4%) working as farmers. The level of knowledge among hypertension patients was good, with 40 people (83.3%) having good knowledge. The attitudes of hypertension patients wvere mostly adequate, with 25 people (52.1%) showing adequate attitudes. Furthermore, the actions ofthe patients were categorized as good, with 40 people (83.8%) exhibiting good actions. Future research is expected to improve the quality of care for hypertension patients. | en_US |
