Family cenlered maternity care (FCMC) is a nursing care approach that focuses on the family by providing integrated care for women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, and newborn care within the ongoing family life cycle through healthy living. The postpartum period is critical due to significant physiological and psychological changes and shifts in self-confidence experienced by the mother. Family support encompasses the attitudes, actions, and acceptance of family members toward one another, including informational support, appraisal support, instrumental support, and emotional support. Nurses can enhance family support and self-efficacy through education based on family centered maternity care. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of FCMC-based education on family support and self-efficacy in postpartum mothers for breastfeeding. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest and posttest control group approach. The population consists of pregnant women without complications, with gestational ages between 36 and 40 weeh, residing in the working area of UPT. Puskesmas Kampung Baru. A total of 52 respondents were divided into 26 respondents in the intervention group and 26 respondents in the control group. The sampling technique employed is non-probability sampling with consecutive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Paired T-Test and In.dependent T-Test. The results indicate that the intervention effectively increased family support (p = 0.000; p < 0.05) and self-efficacy (p = 0.004; p < 0.05). In conclusion, FCMC-based education is effective in enhancingfamily support and self-efficacy in postpartum mothers for breastfeeding.en_US
