This paper examines the construction of gender role dimensions that occur among residents of the Kampung Darussalam Matfa Indonesia community, Dusun III Darat Hulu, Telaga Said Village, Sei Lepan District, Langat Regency, North Sumatra. The focus of the study in this paper discusses the role of division of labor for each village resident in the Matfa community. Matfa Village is a village that was formed from a feeling of love for a teacher from students, thus forming a village bound by unity between congregations. This caused them to form a village that was not only a place to learn religious knowledge and apply it but also a means of improving the collective economy to support all the residents of Matfa Village. This pattern of shared life ultimately shapes the wheels of the economy by forming sectors as one of the sources of income for Kampung Darussalam Matfa Indonesia. In his research, the author used a qualitative case study type method with fieldwork. With data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and direct observation or participation as outlined through field notes. The informants in this research are residents of the Darussalam Matfa Indonesia Village Community, namely regarding their position in the Darussalam Matfa Indonesia Village. Starting from the position of men's and women's roles in the family and sectors (agriculture, industry, barak business, health, animal husbandry, education, and mining). The results of this research show that the distribution of gender roles in Darussalam Matfa Indonesia village is based on the abilities and skills they have. The abilities and skills possessed by each congregation are then applied in managing life based on a togetherness economy to support the needs of the residents of Kampung Darussalam Matfa Indonesia. This is based on previous experiences in moving to Kampung Darussalam Matfa Indonesia. So that it becomes their capital in managing existing sectors. Both in terms of division of labor and gender positions, it must be carried out by the mandate proposed by Tuwan Imam as leader of Matfa Village and influences the construction of the rules and regulations that must be followed by all village residents. The formation of gender construction is influenced by the role of the community within it and must be followed by every part of the community.en_US
