Faktor-Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Unsafe Action pada Pekerja Bagian Pengolahan di PKS Pagar Merbau PTPN I Tahun 2024

Abstract

In general, workplace accidents are more likely to occur due to a person's unsafe actions, i.e. actions that can endanger the worker themselves or others, leading to workplace accidents. Personal and work factors usually determine how a worker acts. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with unsafe action in processing section workers at PTPN I Pagar Merbau MCC. This research was conducted in the processing section at the PTPN I Pagar Merbau MCC from January 2024 to May 2024. The sample in this study amounted to 60 workers who were taken using total sampling. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires and tested with statistical tests using Spearmen's Correlation. The results showed that all workers performed safe actions, 31 workers aged ≥ 32 years, 32 workers with a new working period, 31 workers with poor knowledge, 40 workers with high work motivation and 35 workers who had an unfavorable perception of OHS supervision. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between age (0.000), tenure (0.000), knowledge (0.011), work motivation (0.003), supervision (0.001) with unsafe acts. It is recommended that the company should make training for all workers, especially for workers who are young and have a new working period in order to increase workers' knowledge and workers' motivation so that workers can take safe actions during work. The company must also improve OHS supervision activities by conducting regular supervision and imposing sanctions if workers take unsafe actions during work
