dc.description.abstract | PT Sumber Graha Sejahtera (SGS) is a company operating in the plywood industry, one of the products produced is truck body parts (TBP). Research was conducted on the truck body part production process which experienced problems in waste in the form of product defects and non-value add activities. The large percentage of product defects experienced by PT. SGS in 2022 will be 5.33% with a company tolerance of 5% of total production. Types of defects include cracks, knots and peeling. Apart from that, the total necessary value added and non value added time was 257.21 minutes out of 3319.59 minutes of total time. The problem was solved using the Lean Six Sigma approach which aims to reduce the number of defective products and non-value added activity. Lean Six Sigma is a combination of lean and six sigma concepts that uses the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) method. Improvement proposals use the Weighted Product method to determine priorities for improvements to improve product quality. Improvements are made in the categories of people, machines, materials, methods and environment. From the calculation results, it was found that the sigma level value increased from 3.60 to 3.64. Apart from that, 11 activities were also eliminated in non value added activities so that the necessary value added and non value added values were reduced to 204.60 minutes from 3114.99 minutes. | en_US |
