dc.description.abstract | PTPN V Sei Rokan is a plantation company that produces palm oil which is processed into CPO (Crude Palm Oil) palm oil and palm kernel. In the production process there are several machines, one of which is the Kempa Station which consists of a Digester and Screw Press machines. This machine has an important role in producing CPO (Crude Palm Oil) so an appropriate method is needed to avoid frequent damage. Maintenance includes corrective maintenance, namely maintenance activities after the machine breaks down and preventive maintenance, namely maintenance activities to prevent damage. In this way, it can reduce maintenance costs. Given this problem, machine maintenance planning will be carried out using the Markov Chain method in the hope of reducing maintenance costs. By carrying out periodic and regular machine maintenance activities. This will promise guaranteed production results and machine maintenance planning can increase efficiency by reducing damage. In the company's condition, maintenance costs are IDR 222,035,913, and using the Markov Chain method with maintenance costs for proposal I IDR 64,519,304 and savings occur with proposal I of IDR 157,516,304 or a percentage of (71%) and maintenance costs for proposal II IDR 45,012 ,082, resulting in savings with proposal II of IDR 177,023,831 or a percentage of (80%) and proper maintenance every 1 month and 1 month. | en_US |
