Background: Eyelid lacerations are a common form of eye trauma, which often occur due to sharp objects, animal bites, fights and blunt object burns that seem harmless in the workplace can cause eyelid lacerations, resulting in partial or total eyelid thickness defects. Alternative treatment methods using medicinal plants, one of the benefits of traditional therapy in healing wounds is the celery plant (Apium graveolens). Objective: To determine the effect of administering celery extract ointment (Apium graveulens) on changes in TGF-β immunohistochemical features and histopathology of wound healing in partial thickness palpebral laceration models in white rats (rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain. Materials and Methods: This type of research is animal experimental research with a research design in the form of a randomized post test only control group laboratory experimental design. Sample selection and grouping were carried out using a simple random sampling method, every 30 samples that met the criteria were taken randomly by the researcher and divided into 6 groups of equal size. Results: The total TGF-β expression score value in Wistar rats was highest in the group with a 10% dose of celery extract ointment (Apium graveulens), namely with an average of 2.17 compared to 15% extract. The fibroblast value results were at a dose of 10% with an average of 18.9, and the collagen value at a dose of 10% was denser than the other doses. The results of the Kruskal Wallis test in each group showed p<0.05 Conclusion: There is an effect of celery extract ointment (Apium graveulens) on TGF-β, fibroblasts and collagen.en_US
