Pengaruh Karakteristik Individu terhadap Pemanfaatan Puskesmas oleh Masyarakat di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Bandar Baru Kabupaten Deli Serdang Tahun 2024

Abstract

Public Health Center, abbreviated as Puskesmas, is defined as a health service facility that plays an important role in organizing primary health efforts, which include both public health and individual health efforts at the primary level. Puskesmas Wisata Bandar Baru is one of the 34 Puskesmas in the working area of the Deli Serdang District Health Office. Based on the research conducted, it is shown that the utilization of the Bandar Baru Tourism Health Center by the community is still relatively low, this can be seen through one of the contact rate indicators in 2023, which has not reached the target that has been set, namely 150 per mil. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the utilization of the Bandar Baru Tourism Health Center. The type of research used is descriptive-analytic research with a cross-sectional design. This research was conducted from October 2023 to May 2024. The population consists of all Heads of Families residing in the working area of Puskesmas Wisata Bandar Baru, totaling 3,722 households, with 95 of them used as samples. Data were collected through interviews using a questionnaire and analyzed using logistic regression tests.The results of the study showed that 22 respondents (23.2%) utilized the Puskesmas, while 73 respondents (76.8%) did not utilize Puskesmas Wisata Bandar Baru. Based on the multivariate test, the variables of age (p = 0.001), accessibility (p = 0.003), and perception of illness (p = 0.010) had a significant influence on the utilization of Puskesmas Wisata Bandar Baru and based on the multivariate test, it was shown that the age variable had an Exp. (B) value of 72,437 indicating that it is the best model for determining the influence on the utilization of Puskesmas Wisata Bandar Baru. Based on the research results, efforts are needed to promote health and the utilization of Puskesmas through outreach activities to increase community awareness about using the health services at Puskesmas Wisata Bandar Baru
