Hubungan Anggota DPRD dengan Konstituen: Studi Kasus Lima Perempuan Anggota DPRD Kota Medan Periode 2019-2024 dengan Konstituen

Abstract

This research analyzes the relationship between the five female members of the Medan City DPRD and their constituents during the 2019-2024 period. Through a qualitative approach, this research obtains constituent perceptions of political representation and public services from female DPRD members. This research contributes to the understanding of women's political participation and the dynamics of the relationship between female representatives and constituents in the local context. The relationship between the five female members of the Medan City DPRD and their constituents may vary depending on political dynamics, the performance of DPRD members, as well as direct interactions between them and their constituents. However, in general, they may have the opportunity to champion issues more related to women and children, and represent their interests in decision-making. In some cases, their presence can strengthen gender representation in local politics and provide inspiration for other women to become involved in the political process.
