Nutrition facts are information about food that can be in the form of pictures, writing, a combination of both, or other forms that are included on packaged food and are usually attached to the packaging. Nutrition facts contain the composition of nutrients in packaged food, which can help consumers limit excessive consumption of packaged food. This research aims to determine the relationships of knowledge and reading nutrition facts with packaged food consumption habits among MAN 3 Medan students. This research is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The results of this research showed that most of MAN 3 Medan students often (4-6 times/week) consumed packaged food, which was as many as 40 people (45.5%), and 10 people (11.4%) always (every day) consumed packaged food. The bivariate analysis results showed a significant relationship between knowledge (p-value = 0.002) and packaged food consumption habits as well as a significant relationship between reading nutrition facts (p-value = 0.001) and packaged food consumption habits in MAN 3 Medan students. The types of packaged food that MAN 3 Medan students often consumed were bread and chips/chiki-chiki-an, which amounted to 48.9 percent. MAN 3 Medan is expected to provide its students an understanding of nutrition facts and the importance of reading nutrition facts before consuming packaged foodsen_US
