dc.description.abstractIt is essential to analyze the employees' performance at the faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara because academic service has the big portion in campus which is mostly directly concerned with students. In providing academic service, the university should understand and fulfill the students' needs which end with their perception. Qualified academic service will provide satisfaction for them. Academic satisfaction becomes very important because it will help the students be loyal to the institution; the students will be ready to promote the institution to other people, and to increase people's interest in continuing their study in this university. There are many causing factors which decrease employees' performance such as work-life balance, organizational culture, and work satisfaction. The purpose this research is to find out the effect of work-life balance, organizational culture, and work satisfaction on employees' performance. The population is the employees at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara, and 90 of them are used as the samples. The data are analyzed by using path analysis with SPSS software program. The result of the research shows that work-life balance and organizational structure have a positive and significant effect on work satisfaction. Work-life balance, organizational structure, and work satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on employees' performance. Work satisfaction is the most dominant variable in affecting employees' performance at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara.en_US
