dc.description.abstractIn Indonesia, cases of malnutrition are increasing every year. Nutritional problems in Indonesia are a health disorder that occurs due to an imbalance between intake and needs, which can hamper the quality of human resources. Stunting is one of the problems the world is facing, especially in poor countries and developing countries. In Labuhanbatu Regency itself there has also been a decrease in the number of stunting rates. Labuhanbatu Regency is actively establishing various programs to reduce stunting rates. There are many factors behind the occurrence of stunting, namely: 1) inadequate energy and nutritional intake; 2) chronic energy deficiency (CED) in women of childbearing age 15-49 years, both pregnant and non-pregnant; 3) environmental factors, circumstances and family behavior that facilitate infection affect the nutritional status of toddlers; 4) economic factors that cause a lack of availability of clean water, parenting patterns, knowledge of pregnant women, and economic problems. This research aims to find out what policies the Labuhanbatu Regency government has issued to reduce the stunting rate in Labuhanbatu Regency. The key informant in this research is the secretariat general (secretariat general) of the DPPKB, the main informant is the Head of the Family Welfare Division, the Task Force, and additional informants are the families of children who experience stunting. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of literature study, field studies in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained will be processed using qualitative descriptive research methods so that the conclusion is that there is a reduction in the number of stunting carried out by the healthy village program, fathers/mothers taking care of stunted children, building healthy latrines, and implementing various integrated policies through the house renovation program. As well as carrying out various efforts to prevent stunting.en_US
