Determining Factors for Utilization of the Huristak Public Health Center Padang Lawas Regency in 2023
Abstract
Health services are a community need and a benchmark for the success of health development. Puskesmas is a means of increasing accessibility, affordability, and quality of service in order to improve the level of public health and make the national social security program a success. Based on the North Sumatra Province Health Profile, in 2020 it is estimated that the average per resident using the Community Health Center will be 1.5 times; the percentage of the population utilizing the Community Health Center is 35.64%, an increase compared to 2019, namely 31.28%. In 2021, the number of outpatient visits at the Huristak Community Health Center was only 6.7% of 14,768 people, or an average of 5 visits per day. When compared to the Public Health Center in Padang Lawas Regency, which receives 14 visits per day, the Huristak Community Health Center is still relatively low. This research was conducted to determine the determinants of utilization of the Huristak Health Center in Padang Lawas Regency in 2023. This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional research design. The population of this study was all heads of families in the working area of the Huristak Health Center, Huristak District, totaling 4,465 families spread across 3 villages. The research sample consisted of 100 people taken using random sampling techniques. Data analysis methods use univariate and bivariate. Based on the research results, it is known that 34% of the community chose to use the Puskesmas and another 66% chose not to use the Huristak Health Center. The results of the Chi Square test showed that there are aspects related to the use of Puskesmas: education, health of the patient, ease of information, and accessibility. Based on the results of the research it is necessary to determine the importance of checking the health to the Puskesmas as well as access to the road repaired
