Fungsi Pengawasan Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah terhadap Pengelolaan Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Daerah Kota Medan

Abstract

The Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) is a legislative body that has various roles, including legislation, budgeting, and supervision. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the DPRD conducts oversight of the Regional Budget (APBD), as well as the factors that influence the implementation of DPRD oversight of the APBD in Medan City. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, with data obtained through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the Medan City DPRD supervision of APBD management has been carried out well, but still requires improvement in supervision of the preparation, implementation, changes, and accountability of the APBD. Factors that influence supervision, such as the resources of DPRD members and budgeting, also need to be improved to improve the quality of policies in Medan City in the future.
