A Description of Moral Messages in Animated Movie Sing 2

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss and describe the types and moral messages conveyed in the animated film Sing 2. This film is a sequel to the animated film Sing (2016) produced by Illumination Entertainment, and it focuses on the journey of animal characters overcoming various challenges to achieve their dreams in the entertainment world.This paper uses the theory of character values cultivation through the movie Sing 2 animation proposed by Damiana Septi Kartika Sari and Ria Triayomi (2023). The method used in describing this paper is a qualitative method. This paper examines various types and moral messages contained in the animated film Sing 2. The film shows that Sing 2 conveys various important moral values such as determination, ambition, teamwork, and collaboration. Additionally, it delivers moral messages such as patience, love, and hard work.
