dc.description.abstractThis paper describes the American cultural values contained in the Thanksgiving celebration, namely gratitude, togetherness and hospitality and also provides a little introduction to the history of Thanksgiving celebrations in United States of America. The method used in this paper is qualitative. This paper only contains information about the brief history of Thanksgiving celebrations in United States of America and its cultural values. In writing this paper, the author uses symbolic interaction theory. The conclusion of this paper is that the Thanksgiving celebration is not only a time to enjoy delicious food and gather with family, but also a moment to always give thanks for what has been received throughout the year and know the cultural values of the American people contained in the thanksgiving celebration, namely gratitude, togetherness, and hospitality.en_US
