dc.description.abstractPT Mutiara Mukti Farma is a company engaged in the pharmaceutical industry that produces 49 types of drugs. PT. Mutiara Mukti Farma has several problems that occur in the product warehouse such as the absence of good planning in the layout of product placement in the warehouse, which results in some products with a high frequency of ordering and demand not being placed on the shelves closest to the product delivery area, this causes the product transfer distance for products with a high frequency of ordering and the number of requests requires a long distance and longer product transfer time, then the number of some products placed in the reception room due to the full capacity of the shelves in the product warehouse of PT. Mutiara Mukti Farma, so that workers must first move the products in the reception room to prevent overloading the product reception room. The next problem is the poor management of product storage shelves, the company determines that each type of product is given 2 rows of shelves per product, so that products with more capacity requirements get the same capacity as products with a small amount of capacity requirements. The purpose of this research is to reduce the distance of moving products in the product warehouse to the product delivery area to reduce material handling costs and increase speed in handling products in the warehouse. The methods used are KMeans Clustering Algorithm and FP-Growth Algorithm. From the calculation results, it is obtained that the product transfer distance in the proposed K-Means Clustering Algorithm product placement layout is 40,755 meters with a product transfer time of 5,390 hours and a material handling cost of Rp. 2,004,331 and an efficiency value of 19.01%, and in the proposed FP-Growth Algorithm product placement layout of 37,669 meters with a product transfer time of 5,011 hours and a material handling cost of Rp. 1,850,633 so that the proposed product placement layout using the FP-Growth Algorithm method with an efficiency value of 25.1% is selecteden_US
