Persepsi Warga Kecamatan Medan Baru terhadap Komunikasi Kebijakan Publik Pemerintah Kota Medan

Abstract

This research is entitled "Perceptions of Medan Baru District Residents Regarding Medan City Government Public Policy Communication". A quantitative descriptive study which aims to determine the perceptions of Medan Baru District Residents towards Medan City Government public policy communication. The theories considered relevant in this research are the theories of Public Communication, Public Policy and Perception. The population in this study was residents of Medan Baru District with a total of 23,335 samples determined using the Taro Yamane formula and a sample of 100 respondents was obtained. The results of the research show that the majority of respondents are still unclear regarding information on the Medan City Government's public policies, especially regarding road and drainage improvements and the majority of respondents think that the Medan City Government is still lacking in socializing public policies regarding road and drainage improvements in Medan City so that the public does not understand its objectives. . The majority of respondents stated that it was very good for the Medan City Government's policy to carry out road and drainage improvements, and the public agreed that the dissemination of information about public policies conveyed by the Medan City Government, especially regarding road and drainage improvements, was to be further improved.
