A Description of Theme in Putri Hijau Folklore

Abstract

This paper describes the theme in Putri Hijau Folklore. how is the theme and education value in Putri Hijau Folklore. the method used by the writer in this paper is descriptive qualitative method. the writer collects data from the folklore book of the Putri Hijau. after describing the Putri Hijau Folklore, it can be taken that the theme in the Putri Hijau Folklore is kinship, there is a kinship bond that can be taken from the story is the kinship bond between Putri Hijau, Membang Yazid, and Membang Khayali. there are six education values in the folklore of Putri Hijau (1) Responsibility (2) Honest (3) Social Care (4) Curiosity (5) Independent (6) Hard Work. the six education values contained in the folklore of Putri Hijau to build education values that will be applied to society and learning in children that can be used for everyday.
