dc.description.abstract | Social services are planned activities designed to assist persons who are
experiencing difficulties as a result of their inability to perform social functions.
Among these are social services provided by social institutions. Social services
might include counseling for social issues, spiritual matters, educational matters,
and skill development. With reference to theories, factors, and actualities that
elucidate the functioning of social services and guidance in these establishments,
this study attempts to examine the social services provided to prisoners at Rumah
Bakti Kasih Anak Indonesia, the Indonesian Children's Orphanage. The study
itself was conducted in Medan City at the orphanage Rumah Bakti Kasih Anak
Indonesia. This study takes a qualitative, descriptive research design. The method
of gathering data for the study involved combining (triangulating) the steps of
thorough observation, interviews, and documentation. Subsequently, the
investigators will conduct a qualitative analysis of the data and derive
conclusions based on the executed investigation. Drawing from the findings of the
study, the author concluded that the Rumah Bakti Kasih Anak Indonesia
orphanage has offered social services in the form of social guidance. This
includes counseling as well as guiding the behavior and development of all
orphans, including their relationships with other orphans, orphanage
administrators, and their external environment. and a fundamental
comprehension of social behavior, including community standards and laws,
spiritual advice, including regular worship, educational guidance, including the
provision of both official and informal education, and skill instruction, including
music and sports training to beneficiaries at the orphanage. | en_US |
