dc.description.abstract | Industrial activity increases PM10 in abient air. One of the pollutants contained in PM10 is microplastics. This research aims to measure PM10 concentrations and identify the presence of microplastics at industrial sources in the Medan Industrial Area Phase I, as well as analyzing the relationship between the number of vehicles, meteorological factors (wind speed, temperature and humidity), and PM10 concentrations on the abundance of microplastics in the surrounding area, KIM Phase I area. The samples that have been taken are prepared by adding H2O2. The observations were carried out visually with a digital microscope and Raman analysis. The PM10 concentration measurement results varied in the range of 47.95 μg/Nm3 to 572.45 μg/Nm3. The average abundance of microplastics is 1.18 particles/m3 around the KIM Phase I area. The relationship between meteorological factors in the form of number of vehicles, wind speed, temperature and PM10 concentration has a positive correlation with the abundance of microplastics. Meanwhile, meteorological factors in the form of humidity have a negative correlation with the abundance of microplastics around the KIM Phase I area | en_US |
