dc.description.abstractThe problem that exists in the Modena warehouse at PT DSV Solutions Indonesia is that the product layout is still not in accordance with the warehouse layout rules, as indicated by the large amount of empty space that has not been filled with products and placement that is not based on the intensity of product movement. This problem is because the product layout still uses the randomize storage principle, where the product layout in the warehouse is arranged arbitrarily and product filling is only done by filling in empty spaces. The use of the randomize storage principle is due to problems for warehouse admins in analysing space requirements and throughput (product activity) with complex models repetitively, so that it has an impact on the efficiency of space utilisation and the total distance of order picking. The purpose of this research is to design a python website-based decision support system to support the product relayout process in the warehouse. The proposed method is class cased storage. The class-based storage method with the ABC classification principle will classify products based on space requirements and throughput (product activity). The ratio of throughput (product activity) to space requirement will affect product rank which will affect product placement. The greater the throughput (product activity), the higher the product rank. The inversely proportional to the space requirement, the greater the space required, the lower the product rank. Processing of the decision support system with the ABC classification principle shows that there are 14 products that belong to class A, 22 products that belong to class B, and 36 products that belong to class C. After that, the calculation of space utilisation efficiency is carried out. Then the calculation of order picking mileage is carried out. The results showed that space utilisation efficiency increased and order picking distance decreaseden_US
