Analisis pH, TDS, Kesadahan, dan Kadar Silika pada Air Sungai di PT. PP. London Sumatra Indonesia Begerpang Palm Oil Mill

Abstract

Analysis of pH, TDS, hardness and silica content in river water at the Begerpang Palm Oil Mill has been carried out. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the pH, TDS, hardness and silica levels in river water that will be used and which are determined at the BGPOM factory. pH analysis was carried out using the electrometric method, TDS analysis was carried out using the electrical conductivity method. Hardness analysis was carried out using the complexometric titration method, and silica content analysis was carried out using the gravimetric method. The average pH analysis results obtained were: Raw Water: 7.20, RO: 6.4, Feed Water: 6.80, Boiler Water: 11.20. The average results of the TDS analysis obtained were: Raw Water: 42.5, RO: 3, Feed Water: 8, Boiler Water: 600. The average results of the hardness analysis obtained were: Raw Water: 10.5, RO, Feed Water, and Boiler Water, namely: Trace. And the average results of the silica content analysis obtained were: Raw Water: 43.5, RO: 0.65, Feed Water: 1.30, Boiler Water: 53.25. From the results of the pH, TDS, hardness and silica content tests in the river water to be used, it is appropriate and meets the quality standards issued by the BGPOM factory.
