Analisis Pengendalian Persediaan Menggunakan Metode Continuous Review System (s,S) pada PT. XYZ

Abstract

Inventory control aims to meet consumer demands accurately while minimizing inventory costs. PT. XYZ is a retail company operating in the trade industry, managing a network of minimarkets and implementing inventory management. However, PT. XYZ lacks a standard or appropriate method for managing its inventory. One of the challenges faced by the company is stockouts, where demand exceeds available inventory due to fluctuating consumer demand over time. To address this issue, proper inventory planning is required.This study aims to identify an effective inventory method to determine order quantities while considering the minimization of total costs. The research employs the continuous review system (s,S) method. The use of this method is expected to determine the appropriate order quantity and reduce inventory costs. Based on the calculations, the total inventory cost according to the company's policy is Rp 60,176,036,752 per year, while the total inventory cost using the continuous review system (s,S) method is Rp 52,215,247,808 per year. The results indicate that the application of the continuous review system (s,S) method provides a savings of 13.23%
