Analisis Faktor - Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka di Sumatera Utara Menggunakan Regresi Linier Berganda
Analysis of Factors Influencing The Open Unemployment Rate in North Sumatra in using Multiple Linear Regression
Abstract
North Sumatra faces unemployment challenges that could threaten economic and social stability. This research examines factors influencing the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in the region, aiming to provide insights for effective policy formulation. The study employs Multiple Linear Regression analysis on secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) for 2013-2023, involving six indicator variables. The analysis yields the regression equation: Ŷ = 155,314 + 0,015X1 + 0,080X2 + 0,029X3 - 1,359X4 - 1,477X5. Simultaneous testing shows Fcalculated (3.653) is less than Ftable (5.05), indicating that collectively, the variables of Population Density, Poverty Rate, Inflation, Economic Growth, and Literacy Rate do not have a significant influence on the Open Unemployment Rate in North Sumatra. These results highlight the complexity of unemployment issues in the region and suggest the need for further research to identify other factors that may have a greater impact on unemployment rates.
