| dc.description.abstract | This paper discusses the important role of the tourism industry in economic development and community welfare in North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra. The tourism industry not only provides direct employment in the tourism services sector, construction and creative industries, but also encourages economic growth through the development of infrastructure such as airports, roads, accommodation and other public facilities. The main focus of this research is an analysis of the attractiveness of Aek Situmandi Tourism as a developing natural tourism destination in the area. By considering fluctuations in tourist numbers from 2020 to 2023, this study identifies factors influencing tourist arrivals and their impact on the local economy. This research also highlights the importance of environmental protection in sustainable tourism development. Through collaboration between local government, the private sector and local communities, Aek Situmandi Tourism has succeeded in becoming an attractive tourist destination with various attractions such as white water rafting, flying fox and camping ground. The conclusions of this paper provide insight into how tourism development can contribute positively to regional economic growth as well as efforts to preserve the environment. | en_US |
